Production designer Uli Hanisch gave me a free hand designing a model corresponding to his visions for this set of the Berlin part of the production in 2023. The basic idea was a brutalist expressive version of a concrete zoo enclosure, where the tributes were tossed in from a container truck to start their fight.
With a team of sculptors I realized the original size construction following the model within three weeks at Studio Babelsberg. After that the styrofoam parts were transported to Britzer Garten in Berlin where it was assembled outdoor and coated with Keraguss ceramics and rubber to create a walkable concrete-like surface.
