For „A Cure for Wellness“ by Gore Verbinsky in 2015, I worked as construction manager together with Dierk Grahlow. This production required the construction of another giant studio cave, but even bigger than the one we made for „The Monuments Men“. The cave architecture consisted of two areas with approx. 1000 m2 floor space together, one of the them containing a water basin with up to 1,20 m of depth. We decided to use the same poyurethan panel technique for the rock surface I developed for „The Monuments Men“ two years before. The SFX-department demanded some parts to be made fireproof in plaster. The lower waterbasin area we carved in styrofoam, PU coated, the deep one was made in steel.
